Who must pay
Entry Requirements for Baja California Sur
The tax applies to every foreign visitor entering the state, however they arrive — by air, cruise or road.
You must pay if
You match all three conditions below during your visit to Los Cabos, La Paz, Loreto or Todos Santos.
- •You are a foreign (non-Mexican) visitor.
- •You are 15 years of age or older.
- •You stay more than 24 hours in Baja California Sur.
You are exempt if
You do not need to pay the BCS tourism tax in the following cases.
- •You are transiting less than 24 hours through the airport.
- •You are under 15 years of age.
- •You are a Mexican national or a legal resident of BCS.
